Sailing to the deep
I've lost the will to see
this time I'll throw it all away.
My consciousness is drifting with the waves.
I'd gladly drown this hateful thirst tonight
to set this right.
I can call out now
no one will hear me.
So separate from the world I once knew
I blame you.
What are these sounds I hear?
Is it just an illusion of fear?
I submerge myself into the tallest glass
not leaving behind a souvenir.
I need to know the answers!
I need to know the challenge!
Is this glass half-full or is it half-empty?
I am going down now, so don’t try to stop me.
I will leave the past behind myself.
I promise that I won’t need help.
If I do it all alone, I will know the unknown!
You promised me we'd sail the seas.
We'd sail for gold and find it.
We'd fire no gun,
we'd shed no tear,
but now we're here.
I cannot make it under here for so long.
...still haven’t reached the bottom of the glass so tall.
Regrets submerge all over me.
Was it really worth it to lose it all again?
The answer still lies HERE!
Our confidence was striking
as we'd heave our vessel to.
We thought ourselves a terror,
and nary a ship would stand to us.
They fired full broadside
and shot our mast away.
The ship pitched to its side
as it threw me overboard into the drink.
I'm trapped in a sea of my waking fears
swallowed by the thought.
The hands are reaching out to me.
Will they rescue or deceive?
As I thrash about the waves the call goes out.
(Save our ship! Save our ship!)
As I thrash about the waves the call goes out.
(Save our ship! Save our ship!)
General quarters! All hands!
We're going down!
(Save our ship! Save our ship!)
General quarters! All hands!
We're going down!
(Save our ship! Save our ship!)
